Community Resources, Contacts and Links

The City of Shoreline has an easy to navigate website with mountains of information.
There is a city directory with phone numbers for city offices, emergency services, utilities, and many community resources. You can see the Parks and Recreation programs and register online. Want to report a pot hole or a barking dog; the number to do it is here. Police services, building codes and permits, city council meetings and members, schools and the swimming pool: all are listed. You can ask for email to be sent to you regarding ongoing projects in the city and email the council members.
There are pages about the Aurora Coridor Project, the Town Center Subarea, and many other issues you may want to know about.

Sustainable Shoreline Educational Association
Here is a “green” group doing good work. They could use your interest and talents. Some of the topics they cover are environment, land use and transportation, natural resources, parks, open space, utilities, arts culture, and alternative energy. They have lots of info on many subjects, there is something for every
one.
They include the Shoreline Backyard Wildlife Project. This group is trying to certify 500 Shoreline homes as “Certified Wildlife Habitats” with the National Wildlife Federation. This is a simple thing to do and will improve the quality of our city.
